Who's about to become a part of US History?

In 2010,  back when I worked the census before, I put my mark on history.

Now, 2020, HERE I COME!

Whenever I'm on a genealogy kick, and I'm all over old US Census records, I always find it interesting to think about the person who went from house to house and ensured each person counted toward their community. Once I even found a distant ancestor marked in the enumerator slot!  There were hundreds of pages of his beautiful handwriting available to look over, and it was sort of sweet to see that he'd enumerated his own wife and children - carefully scripted into the history of the world.

Of course, a family won't forget a loved one for generations, but the rest of the world forgets us . . .

HA! FOR ME, NOT SO!

I might never get a book published, but I've made my mark.

Twice.

I enumerate.
