The writer scribbling away in the privacy of her own home usually believes her stories are good.
Perhaps she identifies with the posthumously discovered photographer, Vivian Maier, who described her photographs: "They're not so bad, if I say so myself."
Perhaps her greatest fear is that a more accurate comparison might be Bilbo Baggins who "was not quite so prosy as he liked to believe."
If scenario number one is correct, she'd like to know. If scenario number two is correct, she prefers ignorance.
